Opening its doors to the public in March 2008, the Lifestyle Centre is
aiming to achieve the prestigious accolade of being The
Centre of Excellence for Complementary medicine in Yorkshire and The
Humber.

Lifestyle
is a specialist complementary medical clinic that can treat both
private and NHS patients. Using a wide range of treatments from a
number of different practitioners we can help with a wide range of
conditions including pain management, allergies, stress relief, sexual
problems, help with quitting smoking and many many more. As we are a
multi-disciplinary centre we are able to provide clients with the most
suitable therapy or combination of therapies for their healthcare needs.
As well as housing a number of professional
therapists, Lifestyle also
offers much needed community space within the quiet semi rural
village of Beighton, Sheffield. Community groups will be able to access
the space to deliver their services from. Alongside this will be the
opportunity to access many health related activities including
Tai Chi, Yoga and Aerobics as well as activities focussing on the young
such as baby massage and baby yoga.
This website describes the work of Lifestyle,
but also contains much useful information. Within the site you will
find detailed information on a range of complementary therapies, and
also on particular medical conditions which can be treated by
complementary medicine. You will also find details of our courses and
classes that are currently on offfer, along with details of our
outstanding community coffee shop and cafe.

and coffee shop
The Cafe
& Coffee Shop is a true community resource as besides
being the only coffee shop within the village of Beighton, it
relies on volunteers to help run it. All the volunteers receive on the
job training as well as access to other courses which enable them to
either develop themselves towards paid employment or contribute to
helping the centre become a success.
Our coffee, eventually selected from over
20 different blends, is sourced from Busters, a Sheffield based social
firm which exists to provide employment and training opportunities for
people with learning disabilities and people who are otherwise
disadvantaged in the labour market.
We know that we made the right choice as we have received comments such
as "outstanding coffee", "your coffee is really really good" and
"that's excellent coffee, I usually pay a lot more and it's
nowhere as good as yours".
As well as serving exceptional coffee the cafe supports the social enterprise
ethos that is the Lifestyle Centre. All the profits generated by the
business are reinvested back into the community to assist the social
and economic regeneration of Beighton and Sothall.
The cafe aims to tackle the ill health
problems within the village by serving good quality, healthy,
nutritious food - locally sourced wherever possible and with a range of
vegan and vegetarian options available. Our speciality cakes are a must
for anyone fancying something a little different.
